The decision to start my own skincare line stemmed from a deep passion for skincare and a desire to create products that truly make a difference in people's lives.
Many of you may know me as an Esthetician, Makeup Artist and Brow Stylist. I have been working in the beauty industry for over 20 years now (gah). Prior to starting my skincare line, I owned a beauty retail store and brow bar in Madison CT. I had the privilege of working with nearly 30 brand partners during that time. This experience, of course, allowed me to gain valuable insights into creating products. At the time though, I had a few self-limiting beliefs. I told myself that I was a better curated than a creator but I've since gotten over that.
I'm often asked, "how did you start"? The short answer is, with a google search. I knew that I wanted to stay in my treatment room serving my clients. It simply wouldn't be feasible for me to formulate in my kitchen (I've tried) and still have the bandwidth to work at my studio. I also knew that despite having excellent knowledge of ingredients and skin health, I am not a chemist. So the decision was made. I would find a lab and a chemist. My criteria was simple:
A women-run company
Sourcing ingredients that are made in the USA, clean and cruelty-free
And so after a few months of vetting difference companies, I found my people and process began. I knew I wanted to launch with four, plant-based oils so we got right to work and haven't looked back.
Yes-- these products are my own custom formulations. With the help of my chemist, I'm able to make potions that are both safe and effective. We go through a number of tests before we bring any product to the shelf.

My Own Personal Experience:
Having struggled with various skin issues myself (hello, Roscea), I understand the frustration and impact it can have on one's self-esteem. Through extensive research and experimentation, I discovered the power of natural ingredients and their ability to transform the skin. This personal experience ignited a desire to share my knowledge and create effective skincare solutions for others facing similar challenges.
Bridging the Gap:
I noticed a gap in the market for skincare products that are both effective and gentle on the skin. Many existing products contain harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients that can cause irritation and long-term damage. I wanted to bridge this gap by formulating products that prioritize natural and nourishing ingredients, ensuring they are safe for all skin types (That's why I'm so proud of RENEW).
Customization and Personalization:
Every individual's skin is unique, and I believe skincare should be tailored to meet individual needs. By creating my own skincare line, I have the freedom to develop products that can be customized and personalized. This allows customers to address their specific concerns and achieve optimal results, enhancing their overall skincare experience.
Ethical and Sustainable Practices:
I am committed to promoting ethical and sustainable practices in the skincare industry. From sourcing ingredients responsibly to using eco-friendly packaging, I strive to minimize the environmental impact of my products. By starting my own skincare line, I have the opportunity to prioritize sustainability and make conscious choices that benefit both the consumers and the planet.

Launching my own skincare line allows me to empower others by providing them with the tools and knowledge to take control of their skincare journey. I aim to educate and guide individuals towards making informed decisions about their skincare routine, helping them achieve healthy and radiant skin. Through my products, I hope to instill confidence and inspire self-care practices that extend beyond skincare.
Starting my own skincare line has been a fulfilling and rewarding endeavor....and, I'm only just getting started. Look out for more amazing launches in 2024. It allows me to combine my passion for skincare with a desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. By creating effective, personalized, and sustainable products, I hope to contribute to a healthier and more confident society, one glowing face at a time.
